Gavin Brown

Director

Gavin qualified as a Chartered Certified accountant in 2009 and has since specialised in providing accounting and tax advice to owner managed businesses.

His passion is working closely with clients in a wide range of industries and making a positive contribution to a clients business and to being their trusted adviser. Gavin knows first hand the financial and emotional pressures clients may experience when running their own business and aims to help his clients with advice and provide solutions to the issues that they face.

Chris Cherry

Director

Chris is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and works with local businesses of varying sizes and sectors providing accounting services and tax advice.

Chris enjoys making his clients accountancy and tax affairs as straight forward as possible for them, together with providing ongoing business support and proactive advice, to assist with the challenges many business owners face.

Amy Gwinnell

Accountant

Amy started with Brunel in the year 2000 as an accounts and payroll junior.

Having completed her AAT qualification, Amy now leads the payroll department but is also responsible for the preparing of VAT Returns, annual accounts & tax returns for our clients.

Joel Lynch

Accountant

Joel is an AAT Qualified Accountant acting for a growing client base across a variety of industries, looking after their Accounts, VAT, PAYE, CIS & pension requirements.

In addition, he looks after a number of bookkeeping clients and has an in depth knowledge of most accountancy packages including Xero, Sage and Quickbooks.

Claire Turner

Accounts and Bookkeeping Assistant

Claire joined Brunel in the early part of 2021 having moved from Sussex.

Claire started out in practice at the tender age of 16 and, although her working career has always been in Accountancy, she did take a finance manager role in Industry for 12 years, which has given me a good knowledge of internal accounting processes, which enables Claire to fully support her clients with their bookkeeping and VAT.

Laina Penn

Payroll Assistant

Laina joined Brunel in 2023.

In her capacity as a payroll assistant, Laina works closely with our clients on a regular basis ensuring that their payroll affairs and employer pension duties are well looked after.
